About the Author
Chris Freiler teaches Advanced Placement European History and Philosophy at Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, IL, where he has been for over 20 years. He is also the author of AP Achiever European History: Advanced Placement Exam Prep Guide, and has been involved for many years with the national AP program. Beyond academics, Chris has always been moved by the theme of redemption in film, music, sport, and story. He holds out hope that there is a time and place where all hurts are healed, all wrongs righted, all rifts reconciled, and all faith rewarded. He lives in Glen Ellyn, IL, with his wife Michele and children, Megan and Kyle, for whom he wrote this story at Christmas some years ago.

As a prince, Melchior reluctantly pursued a war against Babylon, a choice that ultimately cost the lives of his beloved wife and son. Though Melchoir and Babylon's ruler Balthazar were able to reconcile, Melchior remained bereft with grief from his terrible loss. Then one night a shining star appeared in the heavens, pointing the way to a savior... and the hope of redemption for all humankind. Profound and emotionally moving, A Star to Follow is ultimately a tale of God's eternal love, highly recommended for parents and children to share.

Brilliantly written and illustrated, A Star to Follow is a MUST buy for any parents teaching their children about the importance of forgiveness and the birth of Jesus Christ. However, while there are Christian morals, people of all religions and ages can enjoy and learn the powerful lessons of what it truly means to forgive and be redeemed. This book has a thrilling story line and surprising connection to the nativity of Christ. It truly is a unique book that would be a great gift for any child, grandchild, or teen. Even as a college student, I very much enjoyed it and thought deeply about redemption and forgiveness. Buy it now!

An exciting story of the Nativity

Anyone who appreciates a "journey or road trip" in life, will love this Nativity tale of the wise man to be, Melchior
and why he chooses to travel the desert sands disavowing all logic and reason for his beliefs. It's very much a tale of loss,
adventure and discovery. Our family liked it! Great heart warming story!
