Compré esta concordancia para Kindle y fue una total decepción. La tabla de contenido tiene la lista alfabética pero si voy a buscar por ejemplo la palabra Justicia, el índice activo me permite ir a la letra J pero después tengo que ir página por página hasta encontrar la palabra buscada. Esto es ridículo. La concordancia así como los diccionarios son libros de consulta, no son para leer de una manera lineal, por tanto, una versión para Kindle u otro medio similar debería tener la posibilidad de hacer búsquedas automáticas de palabras. No puedo comprender como Amazon puede vender un libro de consulta sin un índice activo que funcione como debería.

Para empezar, mi critica no es sobre este excelente producto de Concordancia por James strong en forma RV60. Sino es por la razon de que es muy dificil buscar una palabra porque no existe el indice activo.

Si tienes un Kindle va a ser muy dificil que encuentres una palabra. Y si lo haces manualmente tendras que ir palabra por palabra y eso duraria mucho tiempo.

Cuando esto se arregle, yo dare cinco estrellas.

Repito, mi critica es sobre la el formato y no el contenido del libro.

Melanie's mother, Laura, had just been notified of the homicides and had arrived at the house. There, a police officer named Dan Haldane informed her of what had happened. He also told her that a girl, around the age of nine, had been found wandering the streets nude and oblivious to world around. Melanie's mother told the officer to take her immediately to the place where she was after they were finished at the house. While there Melanie's mother identified her brutalized husband and toured the house until she came to the Gray Room. This room was filled with a sensory deprivation chamber, an electric chair, and other forms of torture. After the house, Laura went to the place where Melanie was and was reunited with her. One thing was wrong though, Melanie was in an autistic, almost catatonic state. From there, Laura, Dan, Melanie and a bodygaurd named Earl, search for the truth behind Melanie's lost past. Along the way, they are being chased by an invisible creature that has been committing all of these murders. They soon find that the answers to this troubling mystery lies within the unknown Door to December.

Above-Average Early Novel by Koontz

THE DOOR TO DECEMBER, published in 1985, is one of the last books written by Dean Koontz under another name ("Richard Paige"). This psychological suspense novel was written a few years before Koontz became a major superstar in the book world. This book was re-released and updated in the 1990s under Koontz's own name; this re-released version is what you will find on the shelf.

This book is an enjoyable one. Koontz is fond of the topic of mind control, and there is a lot of interesting subject matter here about psychology and even the occult. My major criticism about this book is that it's too long and drags a bit in the middle. The big revelation toward the end is also somewhat predictable. Still, THE DOOR TO DECEMBER is well written and very suspenseful toward the end.

I would rank this novel in the top half of Koontz' body of work. Enjoyable, but not one of his best.

If you like this novel, you may want to try THE KEY TO MIDNIGHT, which deals with a somewhat similar theme. If you've never tried Koontz before, I would strongly recommend trying some of Koontz's best books first, such as WATCHERS, ODD THOMAS, PHANTOMS and INTENSITY.

This book was very good.. it was the best I have ever
read byDean Koontz. Never have I read another book by him
with the amount of suspense like _The Door to December_.
I was basically bolted to my seat for 2 days while reading
the 800 page book. This is also the fastest I have ever
read a book over 500 pages. That is to say, I was so
engrossed in the book that I was able to finish it in
record time! The suspense and thrills of the action kept
me reading until all hours of the day and night. Highly
reccommended from this corner of the web. :)

BOOK WORTH GETTING DOWN WITH!!!

I purchased this book about a week ago, it came pretty quick in the mail. Anyway, when I cracked it open I was really impressed with the tunes in this book!! It brings back alot of memories back when I was a kid going to school dances and this was the type of music they played!!! As being totally a Drummer, I was impressed with tab of many of my favorite songs from the Disco era!!! So I dusted off the electric guitar and started playing many of the tunes in this book!!! Superstition & Disco Inferno being two of my favorites!!! If you like the music from this era, you won't be dissappointed with this book!!! So dust off the old vinyl and the dancing shoes. Get yourself this book and an Electric Guitar. Then prepare to BOOGIE DOWN!!!!!

Unlike Any Other

Platon is an absolute favorite of mine and I was thrilled to get this book.
The images are from an assignment he did for The New Yorker, so I had seen many of the portraits before...but never like this. Each photograph is as stark and rare as the one before it. The portraits are so raw and precise that it's hard not to stare and wonder how that "session" came to be. What other photographer has assembled Vladimir Putin, Barack Obama, and Muammar Qaddafi in one series of photographs? There is a true human presence in these images that should cause you great pause.
Truly incredible work from a brilliant photographer.

Overrated yet entertaining

The book is somewhat overrated. If you assume the photographer is anonymous, you'll forgive the presentation of the portraits. I question the selection of the subjects, the way the photos are arranged, the different shooting styles, and why some photos are BW while others are full colour to the point of over saturation. Subjects are not arranged alphabetically, neither by country nor by name. They're not arranged by seniority, or how long they'd been in power. They're not arranged by continent, nor by country size. Some subjects are not the highest point of authority in their country. Only if the introduction gave more insights about the project and its presentation.

Lt. Tom “Mac” MacDonald saved three members of his unit from a burning Humvee only to wake up in the hospital with a brain injury and blind. Beth Frazer is mother, ex-wife and book store owner faced with one of life’s most difficult decisions. Dani Fraser is the twelve year old daughter of Beth Fraser that suffered severe burns in an automobile accident that put her Dad in the hospital on life support.

Beth and Mac are undeniably drawn to each other but will life past and present get in the way. Will they overcome the fears both harbor from the past? What will Dani think about all the changes in her life? Will Mac find the patience to convince Beth to give him a chance in her and Dani’s life? What is the Soldier’s Gift? Is it magic or a just an old ladies story?

A heartwarming touching story!

Beth is a divorced mother of a teenage daughter Dani and a co-owner of a bookstore with her best friend. While waiting for her ex to bring back their daughter from his visit she gets the call that most parents dread receiving. Your daughter has been in an accident along with your ex and is badly burned. Right then and their her life changes forever.
Mac is a soldier who has recently been badly injured from an attack while saving his team. He has lost the use of his sight and now needs a transplant to see again. Beth received a call her ex-husband has no chance of surviving and she now must make the choice to end his life. This is where fate steps in and intertwines Beth and Mac into each others lives.
The very beginning of the story had me sad. I could not imagine how anyone could handle either situation. The coincidence and fate bringing these three people who have been through so much heartache and tragedy really touched me. The story although is sad brings out the good in a bad situation and how with positive attitudes things can be just like before or even better than you had it. A truly heartfelt story one that will leave you with tears in your eyes so have tissues ready.

A Soldier’s Gift is one of those stories that hits all of your emotions. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry and it makes you root for the hero and heroine and long for a happy ending. Mac and Beth desperately need one another, they fit together perfectly, they just don’t know it, well maybe Mac does. It is an emotional rollercoaster that is so touching, especially when you bring in Beth’s daughter and her needs. Lynne St. James weaves the story with a perfect touch, allowing us to love the characters, invest in their story and turning pages late into the night. I highly recommend this book!
