It provides descriptions and analysis of a vast range of important new issues from a truly global perspective and with a cross-cultural approach. A Great Bioethics Resource for "beginners" and "old-timers"

At first glance, this collection may seem to be another but important tertiary collection on bioethics-related discourses. Yet, in several ways it constitutes a systematic attempt to collect and synthesize the increasingly global dimensions of ethical issues that humankind face from the cradle to the grave. Whereas some of the entries still adopt the mainstream approach, some authors seem to struggle with the concept of the "global" in their entries. Others, however, almost effortlessly transit the conceptual gulf between the mainstream and the global and globalized dynamics of the normative issues that they engaged.
